The Westwood Public Library Offers Books and More

Whether you want to read mysteries, play the ukulele, or learn how to knit, you can do these things and more at the Westwood Public Library. It's a quick drive from our Westwood apartments and always features something new to discover. Here is some of what the library has to offer:

Museum Passes

Explore some of the area's best attractions with the library's museum passes. Highlights include the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, the USS Constitution, and the New England Aquarium. The passes may be reserved up to 30 days in advance online, in person, or by phone. They're due back to the library on the day of use.

ReadNEXT: Adult Book Bundles

Curated by the expert staff, the ReadNEXT: Adult Book Bundles will feature titles based on your favorite genres. The team gladly mixes and matches, and the bundles offer a great way to discover different authors. Requests are typically filled within three days. Digital lists are also available for those who prefer to read books on their e-readers.

Adult Winter Reading Challenge

To participate in the Adult Winter Reading Challenge, pick up a special bookmark at the library. Then, write a review after reading a book or complete a winter activity of your choice. You can bake cookies, attend a library event, and more. When you're finished, fill out the bookmark and return it to the library. You'll be entered into a drawing to win a fabulous prize basket. If you miss this challenge, watch for another one when summer arrives.

Volunteer

Finally, for a way to give back, consider becoming a volunteer. Many of the volunteers have donated their time for years and help the library in many ways. Positions include Circulation, Reference, and Technical Services. Fill out an application online or in person.

After discovering all the library has to offer, enjoy some mouthwatering barbecue at a local restaurant. To call Westwood Glen Commons home, please contact us. We will gladly show you everything our apartments in Westwood, MA have to offer.
